About Megan

About Me
My name is Megan Jennings, I have been married to my loving and supportive husband for seven years and we have two beautiful children together. When I married my husband I knew having children was a possibility for our future and so I began researching birthing options in Oklahoma. After extensive research I knew I wanted to have a home birth. When I became pregnant we found a very knowledgeable midwife and planned our birth, it was the most empowering and amazing experience of my life. My empowering experience inspired me to help other families achieve the birth they feel is right for them. I believe that bringing a new person into your family and becoming a parent is a delicate, transformative time and I aim to provide the support needed to ease that transition.

About Me

Hi! I'm Megan Jennings. I am a Certified Midwife Assistant, Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, a Certified Breastfeeding Educator and Community Mentor. I have served multiple families as a Birth Doula since March of 2013 and have been providing Postpartum Doula support since 2015. I received my Midwife Assistant certification in July of 2017.

I found my passion for birth after the birth of my first child. My experience was empowering because I had a provider who respected my choices as the laboring mother. This inspired me to help other families achieve the birth they feel is right for them. I believe that having the knowledge to make informed choices in birth shapes who you will be as a mother. I believe that bringing a new person into your family and becoming a parent is a delicate, transformative time and I aim to provide the support needed to ease that transition.

I am happily married to a loving and supportive husband with a young son and daughter.  I love a good cup of coffee, late movie nights with my family, and I never say no to a perfectly cooked steak usually made by my awesome husband.
